V&A Craft Court

Our Cape Town V&A Craft Court showroom is by appointment for focused blonde care reviews and hands-on product demos right near the water.

What to expect at your care review

When you book a care review at our V&A Craft Court showroom, we set aside time just for you in a private space. You’ll meet with one of our team to talk through your hair history, test the right wash and gloss timing for your own lengths, and try leave-in UV filters or a silk wrap demo. It’s a practical hour with your own hair: you’ll see how products feel, get tips for managing tone and texture in Cape Town’s climate, and go home with a written care plan.

We keep our sample trays ready so you can smell, touch and try anything from our Brighten Care Set, Bond Soft Serum, Sun Shield Mist or a quick gloss. If you’re prepping for a matric dance, wedding or big event, bring your dates along for tailored advice. The V&A location is also handy for city visitors needing a product top-up before a seaside holiday or festival.

Bring your current blonde routine

To get the most out of your care review, please bring a few simple things so we can see your hair as it is and match our care steps to your routine.

  • Photos of your hair in daylight (front, side and back if you can)
  • The products you’re using now (bottles or photos of the labels)
  • When you last had colour or lightening done
  • Event dates coming up (like weddings or festivals)

Local hair challenges in Cape Town

Cape Town’s municipal water is mostly soft, which means gentle cleansing and easier rinsing for blonde and highlighted hair. Winter months bring rain and humidity, so frizz and flyaways are common, especially if you’re often near the sea air.

The summer sun here is strong, with a UV index that can sit at 9 or 10 on clear days. UV can fade toner and dry out the cuticle, so hats and leave-in UV filters like our Sun Shield Mist are daily essentials. Sea salt can roughen the cuticle too, so we show you how to prep and protect before and after a beach swim. Quite a few clients mention its harder to keep their lengths smooth after a blustery beach walk.
