Our terms explain how we offer care guidance, how our orders and returns work, and what to know about using our products and services safely.
Care guidance and professional advice
Our care notes and product tips are general guidance for fair, lightened or highlighted hair, and must never replace the hands-on knowledge of a skilled colourist, hairdresser or dermatologist. Always follow salon and manufacturer instructions for colour, especially for mixing, application and timing.
Colour services carry risks of allergy and skin reactions. We urge you to do a skin allergy test with your colourist 48 hours before each salon service, even if you have used the product before. If you experience any irritation or reaction, or have a broken, itchy or flaking scalp, please consult a doctor or qualified dermatologist.
Orders, stock and delivery
Orders are confirmed in writing once we have checked stock and lead times. Some items may be limited or occasionally out of stock. We do our best to keep you updated on expected delivery times, but these may change due to stock, courier or power outages beyond our control.
Risk passes to you once your order is delivered to the address you provided. If you have questions about your order, please send us a message through our contact form.
Returns, hygiene and defective goods
If your care kit or product arrives damaged or is faulty, you can return it as provided for under the Consumer Protection Act. We will assess and, if needed, replace or refund your item. For hygiene reasons, opened or used cosmetics cannot be returned unless there is a fault with the product.
Please contact us through our contact form to start a return or report a problem. We follow POPIA and respect the privacy of your personal information when you order or send us a message.

Liability and legal terms
Fair Hair Studio and Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd are not liable for any injury or damage arising from misuse of our products or care notes, or from not following professional or medical advice. Always use products as directed and do not attempt colour or chemical services at home unless advised by a qualified professional.
These terms and any sale or service from us are governed by South African law. Our studio and care range are operated by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd, 2 Makro Place, Sunnyrock, Germiston 1401.
