Fair Hair Studio began in Kramerville, Sandton, with a simple idea: help lightened and naturally blonde hair stay soft, bright and healthy between salon visits, in real South African conditions.
Rooted in Kramerville with a focus on lightened hair
Fair Hair Studio was started by colour-trained people who know the challenges of keeping blonde and lightened hair looking its best in South Africa. We set up our flagship studio in Kramerville, Sandton, and work every day with real hair, real water and real sun.
Our team saw that most home-care ranges weren’t designed for our local conditions, moderately hard Joburg water, strong Highveld sun, seasonal dryness and, in Cape Town and Durban, soft or coastal water and humidity. So we made our own: a focused care set built for the needs of lightened, highlighted and naturally fair hair.
South African care formulas for South African hair days
Lightened hair is more porous, which means it absorbs and loses moisture and pigment faster. More sun, harder water and frequent washing can mean dryness, breakage or brass. Our range is simple but specific: gentle washing, toning, moisture, bond care, UV protection and soft lengths.
Every formula is developed with South African water and weather in mind. Whether you are in Jozi’s dry winters, Cape Town’s soft water, or Durban’s humidity, our care sets are made to help colour and softness last. We use straightforward, plain-English instructions and always help you patch-test if you have a sensitive scalp.

Working alongside your colourist, not replacing them
We do not bleach or colour hair in our studio or showrooms. Our role is to support what your professional colourist starts, helping your blonde stay soft, bright and healthy between services.
Our studio team includes colour leads and care editors who work closely with stylists and salons across the country. We run care reviews by appointment, tailoring routines for your hair’s condition, water and lifestyle. Your salon does the colour; we help you keep it for longer.
Showrooms, appointments and national delivery
You can visit us by appointment at our Kramerville studio or at one of our seven mall showroom bays, from Rosebank and Menlyn to Canal Walk, V&A Waterfront, Tyger Valley and Gateway. Each location has trained hosts ready to guide you through our care set and answer real-world blonde-care questions.
