Sandton bridal week
Bridal week in Sandton means trial gloss, silk wraps and a plan for soft, lasting blonde from early prep to the last photo. Here’s how we supported one bride’s colour and care.
A Sandton bride with fresh highlights and a big milestone
Our client was a Sandton professional preparing for her wedding at a local venue. She had recently refreshed her highlights at her usual stylist, aiming for a creamy, cool blonde that would look bright in both daylight and evening photos.
She came in for a care review with her hair still settling from the latest colour. Previous bridal events had left her worried about fading tone, dry ends and static under a veil, especially with Sandton’s dry late winter air.

We built a wedding-week care set for lasting softness and tone
Together, we mapped out a week-by-week care routine leading up to the big day. The plan centred on our Brighten Care Set for regular wash and gentle toning, with the Cool Tone Gloss reserved for the final 3 to 8 minute gloss two days before the ceremony.
To guard against dry air and static, we added the Silk Repair Mask for a weekly moisture boost, a silk pillowcase for every night, and the Sun Shield Mist for UV protection at outdoor venues. All trialled at the Kramerville studio, with sample trays to find the right amount and timing.
- Brighten Care Set for wash and tone
- Silk Repair Mask weekly
- Cool Tone Gloss for pre-event boost
- Sun Shield Mist for outdoor protection
- Silk pillowcase habit
After the first week we adjusted for tone and texture
We saw after her practice upstyle and veil trial that the gloss timing needed shortening: the first 8-minute trial made her ends a touch too silvery, so we reduced this to 4 minutes for just the right cool tone.
Wearing her hair up more often, she noticed slight tangling behind the veil line. We suggested a mid-length refresh with Bond Soft Serum on damp hair and a gentle detangle using fingers or a wide-tooth comb on wash days.
What Sandton brides can learn for wedding hair care
For anyone planning a wedding in Sandton, building a trial schedule for glosses and masks helps you see exactly how your hair will look on the day, not just after a salon visit. Cooler tones fade quickly, especially in the first few washes, so time your last gloss close to the event.
Dry air and UV are real factors on the Highveld. Keep extra leave-in mist and a silk pillowcase handy, and test each step in the weeks before. If you’re considering a similar plan, you can send us a message through our contact form and we’ll help you set up your own care sequence.
