Travel Care Trio ritual
Your Travel Care Trio is your practical, light-on-hand routine for keeping blonde or highlighted hair soft and bright on the move, from pool to plane to city sun.
Step-by-step ritual for your travel trio
Start with Blonde Wash Soft: wet your hair thoroughly with clean tap water first. Use a small amount of shampoo, about a R1 coin for short hair, or up to a R5 coin for longer hair. Lather gently, focusing on the scalp, then rinse well. If you’ve been swimming, always rinse out pool water first with tap water before washing.
While hair is still damp, lightly mist Sun Shield Mist over mid-lengths and ends. Hold the bottle about 20 centimetres away and give two to four sprays for shoulder-length hair. This helps protect from UV, especially important in Highveld or KZN sun, or if you spend time outdoors after midday.
Finish with Length Oil Drop: warm two to four drops in your palm and smooth over the ends only. Never apply oil to the scalp. Comb through with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb, then air-dry or use a hairdryer on a low heat setting if you need to. Reapply Sun Shield Mist at midday if you’re outdoors.
- Blonde Wash Soft: wash gently, rinse well
- Sun Shield Mist: mist on damp hair, especially before sun or pool
- Length Oil Drop: smooth a few drops onto ends only

How much and how often for your hair type
For fine hair, use less product: a single pump of shampoo, only one or two sprays of mist, and one to two drops of oil. Too much oil or mist can weigh fine hair down.
Stick to mid-lengths and ends to avoid heaviness.
Thick or long hair can take three pumps of shampoo, four to five mist sprays, and three to four oil drops. Always start with less and add if your hair still feels dry or frizzy after drying.
Quick adjustments for brass, dryness or heaviness
If your hair looks too warm or brassy after a trip, try adding your Cool Tone Gloss or Violet Soft Rinse every second or third wash. Time the gloss for 3 to 5 minutes for fine hair, up to 8 minutes for thicker hair. Always use gloves and rinse until the water runs clear.
If hair feels too heavy or limp, use less oil or try skipping it every second day. If it feels too dry or rough, add an extra misting of Sun Shield Mist before going outdoors, or use your Silk Repair Mask when you get home.
For hair that looks too ashy or dull, reduce violet product use and space toning to once a week at most. Photograph your hair in natural window light to check tone before making a change, indoor bulbs can skew colour.
Travel checks before you pack
For questions about the Travel Care Trio ritual, use our contact form and note whether you need help with pool days, flights, or strong afternoon sun. Include your hair length and whether your blonde is highlighted, lightened, or naturally bright, so guidance can match the R1 to R5 shampoo amount, the 20 centimetre mist distance, and the two to four oil drops used on ends only. If you are in the Highveld or KZN, mention that too, as UV exposure and humidity can change how often Sun Shield Mist needs a midday top-up.
