Highveld travel means UV and dry air
On the Highveld, especially around Joburg and Pretoria, the summer sun is harsh and the air is dry. The UV index often pushes extreme levels between 11:00 and 15:00, especially at altitude. Lightened hair loses moisture quickly and toner fades fast under these conditions.
Keep your Sun Shield Mist with you to top up UV protection whenever you know you will be outdoors, especially around midday. Use your Length Oil Drop on the ends after every wash to seal in hydration and reduce breakage from dry wind. Rinse hair with clean water before swimming and reapply leave-in when you get out. Even moderately hard Rand Water can leave mineral deposits on hair: use your Blonde Wash Soft for gentle cleansing and never skip conditioner.
Tape the lids of your Travel Care Trio bottles before packing to stop leaks in your bag, especially if you are flying into the Highveld from lower altitudes.

Coastal days mean salt, humidity and wind
At the coast, blonde hair faces different challenges. Durban’s humidity is high year-round, which can cause frizz and sapped shape. In Cape Town, winter brings soft water and strong winds off the sea. Both mean salt and sand on lengths, which roughen the cuticle and dry out lightened hair.
Pack your Travel Care Trio in your beach tote or hand luggage. Before a swim, wet your hair with tap water and apply a little Length Oil Drop or Sun Shield Mist to shield from salt and pool chemicals. After swimming, rinse thoroughly and reapply. Soft Cape Town water makes it easier to rinse out products, but also means hair may need more support in the wind: Silk Repair Mask is a smart weekly add-on.
Always use the zip pouch and pack an empty bottle for refills if your stay is longer, our refill station at Kramerville and the showrooms can help.
Adjusting for seasons and travel shifts
In a typical South African year, summer means pool days, midday sun and aircon. Winter brings dry office heating in Joburg or wet, windy cold in Cape Town. Hair needs change with the seasons.
In summer, use Sun Shield Mist more often and reapply after swimming or sweating. In winter, focus on hydrating the ends with Length Oil Drop and avoid over-washing. When travelling by plane, tape your bottle lids and use the products as soon as you land to freshen up after recycled air and altitude.
The Travel Care Trio is under 100 ml per bottle, so it fits cabin baggage rules. Carry yours on road trips, to the gym, or for weekends between salon visits.
