How to pair Cool Tone Gloss with other Fair Hair Studio care
Cool Tone Gloss works best straight after a gentle cleanse. Start with Blonde Wash Soft to remove oils and surface minerals without roughing up the cuticle. For extra slip on very tangly or porous lengths, you can use a little Violet Soft Rinse after shampooing, but only if you are spacing out your Gloss applications. Always wear gloves for both products.
On days you use Cool Tone Gloss, follow with Bond Soft Serum on damp hair to help strengthen and add softness. A few drops of Length Oil Drop on dry ends, once hair is fully dry, adds extra shine without weighing down fine hair. Finish with Sun Shield Mist if you will be outdoors, especially in Gauteng or the KZN coast where UV and humidity are high.
Combinations to avoid or space out for balanced tone
Avoid using Cool Tone Gloss and Violet Soft Rinse in the same wash unless you know your hair is very yellow and not prone to picking up a violet cast. Overlapping these can leave very pale or porous hair with a dull grey or lilac tone that takes a few washes to clear.
If you are using Silk Repair Mask, leave it for a different wash or use after you have toned and rinsed the Gloss thoroughly. Bond Soft Serum and Length Oil Drop are safe daily but apply sparingly when using glossing products, as you want the tone to last.
Three example weekly routines for real blonde lives
Blonde routines change with the season, your recent colour, and the water in your area. Here are three examples for different weeks.
- Post-salon week: Blonde Wash Soft, Cool Tone Gloss (3 to 5 minutes), Bond Soft Serum, Sun Shield Mist, silk pillowcase.
