Colour bridge support

Support when your blonde, highlighted or lightened hair is between salon visits. We help you keep colour fresh and soft, and can guide you through an at-home bridge routine.

Common questions and practical answers

Brass, fading and dryness can all return faster than expected between salon appointments, especially on lightened or highlighted hair. If toner or gloss fades, or hair starts to feel rough or looks dull, it often means the cuticle is more porous since bleaching. Gentle washing, the right cool-tone products and leave-in protection can help stretch your colour.

If you swim, travel, or use different water sources, extra steps may be needed to prevent green or warm tones. Using a violet rinse carefully for 2 to 5 minutes can keep yellow at bay, but overuse might leave a lilac or dull cast, especially if your hair is very light. For regular swimmers, wet your hair first and use a leave-in before you get in the pool.

If you are unsure about the right products or worried about a sudden change in tone or feel, our team can guide you through a care review or bridge kit plan. Feel free to ask about routine tweaks, water considerations, or how to use our Brighten Care Set or Colour Steady Kit.

What to send us so we can guide you well

To give you accurate advice, we need a few details. Use our contact form, and our team will review your message and photos. The more specific you are, the better we can match support for your hair needs.

If you have recently had a colour or lightening service, please include the timing, what was used if you know, and any issues such as brassiness, dryness or breakage. For ongoing concerns, let us know what products you are using and any changes you have noticed.

  • Your city and which Fair Hair Studio products you use
  • A recent photo in natural light showing your hair's current tone
  • What your last salon service was and when
  • Any concerns: brass, dryness, greenish tinge, ends breaking, or scalp issues
  • A short note on your care routine at home

What happens after you send a message

Our hair care team reviews every message and photo sent through our contact form. If you need advice between salon visits, we may recommend a bridge plan or a care review appointment at the Kramerville studio or your nearest showroom bay.

If your question is about an order, return or product concern, we follow the Consumer Protection Act. Opened products cannot be returned unless faulty, for hygiene reasons. If there is a fault with your product, we will guide you through the next steps and arrange a return if it qualifies.

Photos for toner fade checks

Photos taken in daylight near a window help us read brassiness, fading and patchy tone more accurately than indoor lighting. Through our contact form, send clear images of your roots, mid-lengths and ends, plus note your last toner, gloss or bleach service if you have it. If your hair has been in pool water, borehole water or strong sun, mention that too so our Kramerville, Sandton team can guide the bridge routine more precisely.
