Silk Repair Mask

Silk Repair Mask ritual

Silk Repair Mask is our weekly creamy treatment for lightened, highlighted or natural blonde hair. Use it to keep your lengths and ends soft, smooth and less prone to breakage between salon visits.

How to use Silk Repair Mask step by step

Start with clean, towel-dried hair. After your usual gentle shampoo, gently squeeze out as much water as possible. Apply a small amount of Silk Repair Mask to the mid-lengths and ends, never the scalp. Use a wide-tooth comb or your fingers to distribute the mask evenly.

Leave the mask on for 5 to 10 minutes. For lighter, very porous or recently lightened hair, stick to the lower end of the time range. Rinse thoroughly with cool to lukewarm water until the water runs clear. Use once a week or after every second wash if you swim often, heat style regularly or if your hair feels dry after power cuts or winter winds.

  • Cleanse with gentle shampoo
  • Towel dry until damp
  • Mask from mid-lengths to ends
  • Comb through gently
  • Leave 5 to 10 minutes
  • Rinse well

Timing and amount for your hair type

For fine hair, use a pea-sized amount, focusing only on the driest areas and leaving on for 5 minutes. Thick or long hair may need an almond to walnut-sized amount, left on for 8 to 10 minutes.

Always start with less and add more only if your hair absorbs it completely. Too much product can weigh fine or very porous hair down. Longer timing can help with dryness but avoid exceeding 10 minutes to prevent over-conditioning.

  • Fine: pea-sized, 5 min
  • Medium: hazelnut, 7 min
  • Thick/long: almond to walnut, 8 to 10 min

What to adjust if results feel off

If your hair feels heavy or limp, use less product or reduce leave-on time next wash. For hair that still feels dry, try a little more mask or add Bond Soft Serum to damp ends before drying. If hair looks dull or ashy, check whether you have used violet or blue products too often, space out toning rinses and mask sessions.

If the tone looks too warm after the mask, use Cool Tone Gloss or Violet Soft Rinse for one of your next washes, following all instructions for timing and gloves. For best results, always check your tone in daylight or by a window as indoor lighting can distort true colour.

Silk Repair Mask routine checks

For Silk Repair Mask timing and amount, tell us through our contact form how long you leave it on, how often you wash, and whether your hair changes after swimming or heat styling. A quick note on porosity helps too, especially if your blonde grabs product at the ends but stays smoother near the roots.
